Warning! Newbie Approaching!

Hey guys! Just wanted to give a sincere greeting to all the EOJM Forumites here.

I'm very much new to the game (haven't even played a single match yet. Updating is taking forever!), but I am very much a Card Game fan. I play Magic and Yu-gi-oh, as well as Pokemon and all the other popular ones. I've even gotten into competitive Triple Triad once!

Anyway, I'm just here to state that there ARE new people joining the community! EoJ is not dead, guys! Though I have one question: Are they still making new packs?

The cards are no longer being manufactured.

hey welcome to the game and the forum, sorry no new packs, but you can still find all the cards you want, and lots on here can help you or have the odd game online

I have been playing the game since it was released and i rarely win. A version of EOJ for PC (created by a user of this site) is close to release as is EOJ legends for PSP.

By virtue of having been around for several years, Eye of Judgment has seen quite a bit of turnover in its pool of members. As a result, a majority of the remaining players are quite experienced with the game and have a significant card advantage over newbies. However, I wouldn't let those facts dissuade you from playing. It's a fantastic, strategic card game and I certainly enjoyed my time playing it while I had the chance. In any case, welcome to the community. The fact that you've joined will probably result in a positive experience with EoJ. Feel free to ask questions, the whole lot on these forums are friendly and rather helpful!

It is a good idea to use the search function prior to posting a query as most issues you are likely to encounter as a new player will already have a plethora of likely solutions. Welcome to EOJ manager!

No need to sound so negative as a 1st response.

Actual context is that a lot of cards have been bought "in bulk", both by retailers as individual customers.
Add to that the fact that several players are selling their often complete collection, this results in
quite a lot of cards from all 3 sets still being available for trade/selling.

Thanks for the awesome welcome, guys. Yeah, I pretty much knew that they weren't really supporting this game Set-wise, but I still dived in.

I'm just excited to know that you guys are so dedicated to EoJ. I honestly think that people just wasn't ready for an Augmented Reality card-game like EoJ. Perhaps it was just too advanced for its time?

My initial response was entirely factually accurate and contained no content that i believe could be reasonably described as superflous, any inference of a positive or negative tone/slant to my response can i think be ascribed to the reader/s own psychology or frame of mind.

Haha, I have to admit. It did sound a bit ominous. Kinda like saying...

"Your cat is dead."

It may be completely true, but it's also sad.

Either way, that's not going to hinder my enjoyment of this game! I'll probably invest in a few Theme Decks, then hop into some booster packs. Perhaps I'll look into a few singles once I get the feel for proper deck-building?

You can give the theme decks a miss, as they are few and far between now and well over priced, and go straight into buying sets of commons, uncommons and rares, then start to collect the ultra-rares 1 by 1.

I would suggest you try to put a deck together like this as soon as possible.

There are many variations on this deck. You can build something very similar using set 1 only cards if you want to start there. It's relatively cheap to put together and easy to play.
