I wouldn't even mind if it was just a pre-constructed deck concept like Duel of the Planeswalkers for the 360. It would serve as a great catalyst for drawing attention to Eye of Judgment and may bring renewed interest to reviving the game on the PS3. I'm probably being overly optimistic at the point because Eye of Judgment hasn't even been officially announced. If these rumors are true, it had better be a worldwide release rather than a Japanese release. Such exciting news!

@adgori... you can play online anywhere you can get a wifi connection. If you register your psp with your ps3, you can use 'remote play' and you can access all the pictures, videos, and music saved on your ps3 hard drive. You can turn on/off the ps3 with the psp via remote play. Some games have psp remote play features (never tried one myself and cannot recall which games actually support this).
I would be interested in this only if I have to purchase the game. If I have to purchase virtual boosters to rebould my collection you can count me out. I spent the money and have the tangible cards to show for it... I don't want to respend the money for digital copies of cards.
Regardless, it's nice to hear Sony is still doing something related to EoJ and has not dropped the game completely.

if it is true, and it is like the current format, then i would think they'd at least have to re release set 3. which would be great because prices would drop significantly on boxes

I'm sure you will be able to scan in your 'real' cards via the PSP camera, or through wifi via your PS3 lol.
Digital boosters would only be for those people who cannot get hold of the 'real' cards, or for new sets which they could release.

That is a very good point.
Allthough i like the physical aspect (including the collector bit), i would certainly keep playing if EoJ were to evolve into 100% digital.

Yeah I think the best approach would be to offer digital only from here on in, and patch the PS3 version so it can except digital. However, you can scan your existing cards into your account so as to not have to recollect.
I'd be happy with that. AND BRING ON SET 4!

30 new cards suggests to me that they are patch cards rather than anything new by way of game mechanic.

That post sounds suspiciously like all the card purchases made for the ps3 game will be for nothing and if we want to continue with EOJ it's PSP and digital only. eegads. Anyone want to buy some cards? I haven't even got around to testing most of mine yet lol.

I'm sorry but I'm gutted. I like this game a lot but I've spent a fortune on cards over the first month of playing and now I'm told that they're going all digital. This really sucks for me. I'm not a collector, I like the cards purely for the gameplay they provide, nothing more.

Its official everyone. Just received this from Sony:
"Hi EOJ Friends,
It's been a while since we all chatted, but wanted to give you the scoop
the latest news being announced in Europe today. EOJ is going portable on
the PSP. While it won't be using the PS Eye and actual cards, the team has
been able to fit the core game into the PSP so you can take the experience
on the go. More details to come as the product gets further along but here
are some current info below on our plans-
• Game available on PSP as a PSN download only
• Planned Release 2010
• 1-2 Players
• PSP version contains all PS3 cards + 30 new cards
• Collect cards through beating your opponent
• New cards can be added to the selection
• Exchange cards through wifi ad hoc
• "over 300 cards" to collect
• New cards can be bought in the PS Store
Hope everyone is well and always thanks for your continued support of EOJ!"

Quick Habanero get Dozens, Mark or Chris to send Chuck your idea's on PC-EOJ and maybe they can implement some of your idea's for cards into the PSP version of the game.
I expect a portion of the money you make from the digital download sales lol.
