3 Race Alliance Tournament

Wish I had battlemaster as he seems to be the only over powered card that does not fall into the unique race category, except for the vengress of course and we all know that card is persecuted for good reason. What I don't really understand is why Blinding Skies (107) has been banned from all of these recent tournaments as well?

Most members here are not to keen on playing against Attrition and/or CoP decks, for which these 2 cards are essential.

Not to say we will not have any events were all cards can be used, but it's true i like to promote creativity and originality in deck concepts for the events we host here on EoJM.

Of course it could be possible to create an attrition deck using three races, but I doubt it will be very successful. You will need to use bioliths. If you go for the temple, base is one of them, but to be successful (and have enough bioliths to get to a calamity and BS), you will probably have to include also a second race with bioliths unless you fill it with hopeless cards such as citadels. One race left: Foxes, or hunters? There is not much room for variation here.

Just as it would be a challenge to build a CoP deck in the Mana Race tourney (at least mine was a total failure), I think it will be very hard to build something competitive here (even if you may use BS).

The decks I am testing atm seem pretty weak compared to a normal competitive deck, but it will be an interesting tournament as there seems to be a lot of different variations you could use. I am yet to find one which stands out from the rest.

It seems to me that humans have the most variety within the race and therefore will become a big fallback, but for those of you with battlemaster I would imagine that mechs will also be very tempting to use. I guess I should probably add some cards in case of biolith just to be safe. And I like the promotion of variety as well, now that I have Blinding Skies (107) and the key cards for possession and COP decks, I've shown my stepson how to effectively use them all and he has now created a deck that actually beats me. I can't seem to get him away from speed decks either. Damn teenagers!

Yeah, im guessing everyone will play humans (ninjas). I know i wont, hehe

I have so many deck ideas that i wish i could use them all, lol. This will be an awesome tournament!

Well, we'll see what will happen, but i must warn you that i've been quite sucessful on ranked with the decks i have for this tournament, hehe.

the thing about this tournament is that i cant decide on what one deck to use, lol...
It seems 16 people have already signed up, so it should start soon. Cant wait!

Just checked ... 18 people registered so far.

If by later tonight there's 20 i'll populate 4 groups of 5 players like for Mana Race tournament.
If not, the last 2 in the list (time of sign-up) will not participate, and i'll populate based on the 1st 16.

tomden (on request), fbomb (last registration entry) have not been activated for this tournament

Some interesting groups with an interesting format ... looking forward to match tales, decks or even replays for this one
