Fongy's list is great.
To entice more people to buy the game I would also propose they add remote play support with the PSP (custom matches only of course), and a single player story mode. Back when MTG was first translated to the PC there was this great story mode where you roamed the lands dueling the computer. You started with a limited number of cards, but could buy more or win more in battles. It would also be great to show people the rich history that has been developed for the game.

Good job I don't require you to agree / disagree with what I'd like to see it's my opinion thankyouverymuch...
Instead of chipping into everyone's posts why don't you just post a list yourself?
@Enderfall
I put 'better marketing' on my list, I'm sure that covers promotion and publicity...
Heh, here im trying to be civil, anyway ... i put up the list and all the points sometime back on lbs ....
Maybe i'm not delusional enough to think that my list will be forwarded straight to EOJ ... could be any of these ... i also know that mark and spry are well aware of the problems that plagues the game as are most decent serious players ....
i'm just impressed you made a list that is still quite useful because your earlier suggestions were mostly ridiculous ... but its ok from what i hear you struggle with the game anyway ....
P.S. as fun as it sounds to present sony with a walkthrough of how to run the game, it wouldnt work ..... just list concise points that will improve the game thats what will go to them at the end, not 101 ways to fix eoj up ... you do not look up any previous threads or details, because if you did u would realize your quite behind everyone when it comes to information ... and the last thing we need are half baked ideas destroying this game even further ....
the most important thing is the hiring of testers from the community, here shark or habanero would be good enough ... and others from other communities ... so u can keep posting away and consider yourself the next revolutionary or eoj intellectual but as far as im concerned everyone knows how this game can be improved ...
I just try to be supportive and encouraging to everyone ...

That's a funny way to be supportive and encouraging.
Yes, hiring testers from the community would be great (how do we know they don't already do this), but it's not a perfect solution. Some metagame problems take a relatively long time to appear (attrition, winny). I admit that better testing would have avoided the Zealot fiasco.

Mostly supportive and encouraging, i suppose then ...
the reason i suggest testing is that the zealots would never have appeared if they had good testers ...
Attrition & Speed arent broken, nothing wrong with them ... but the majority of cards that are either too expensive and or too weak would be rectified with proper testers ... i mean most of the spells in this game are useless, out of all i'd say max 10 or 15 are great, others are just so strange you wonder why they were even created and the same can be said about alot of cards in the game ...
Other than that i believe the only 2 things that are most important are better promotions from sony's end ... marketting eoj like a strategy game and not a gimmick card game which they have been doing since launch ... ccg players are usually strong on strategy and will not buy a game that lacks it ...
Integration of Rank filters, so u cant play anyone with more than something like 10 Rank points above or below you ... this will encourage ranked play tremendously .. i would go as far to say to remove the option of having animations on in ranked matches, some players switch animations to on after you join the room it's happened quite a few times to me ...
More official online events, they should become montly deals for everyone ... currently asia and america got shafted in this ....
Like i've said cheating needs to be done away ...
Same Release Dates WorldWide ....
Thats all i believe is important for eoj, maybe im forgetting a point or two but i still believe eoj is very strong as it is ... addressing these problems would result in eoj fixing itself up from the serious problems ....
don't get me wrong in game music and stuff like that is amazing but i would rather that sony address the serious problems first ...

How about promoting the game?
Seems Sony doesn't feel the need to get the word out on this game. How can they do that you ask?:
- TV spots where they show EoJ with other games in the advertiesment, similar to last years Holiday campaign
- Print runs in gaming magazines, especially CCG mags
- Video's on PSN showing how fun the game is
- SANCTIONED TOURNAMENTS, and not just online. UDE and Sony need to aggressively target the stores that they sell the cards to. If that means giving away a couple of PS3's or at least offering a discounted rate for the stores to buy them, so be it because it would be HUGE for the game. Here in the Bay Area there are many stores that run successful Friday Night Magic events (for those who are not aware MTG is running weekly tournaments in stores around the world where the winner gets a promo, EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT). Each store sells TONS of packs each night and makes a lot of money off of these tournaments. Sony needs to get in on the act.
Completely agree with this. They really should have a hell lot more promotion of the game. Most of the gamers dont even know about this game.
And there must be more official tournaments too. With Promos, for example, as prizes or even money that goes right to the PSN account.

@Roark
It's a good job we don't all agree with you or nothing would improve in the game... and it's nasty comments like yours that divide the community, pull yer trousers up and grow up a bit!
How you can say there's nothing wrong with speed deck when 2/3 of all players are using it to increase their rank quickly is beyond me, as for your other points, I'm not rising it.

Well, if I just finished an ONLINE game i want the ability to store the replay of this match. It should be compiled by the game and stored in normal video format online where everybody can see it. If course every player should have its own account on this platform to see and manage his replay collection.

We are now in the gathering phase: trying to get as much people to sign the petition and collecting all the communities ideas. We need to give this some time to get as much signatures and ideas.

We have been talking with them regarding whether there was really a delay till 12 December which has already been confirmed by UD. It is now up to us and the community to come up with the ideas and petition. That is what we are now working on. If you want to help, try to get as much people signing the petition.

Really ? Was the fact there IS a North American delay really in question ? Reminds of the scene in Lord of the Rings when all the Treants are huddled together for hours and one of the hobbits ask what did you decide...we decided that you were not orcs

I think...
(uh-oh...)
That we need to move quicker on this...
After Rob's shock departure it's clear that things are wrong with the game and if this isn't catalyst enough to get things moving I don't know what is...
Yes, the EOJ community can contribute to EOJ's future, but it is Sony's responsibility to also look at the game and address the issues... Issues that not only we raise, but their own developers and testers...
So whilst we are forraging around in the leaves looking for little brown nuggets to hand Sony on a plate, what exactly are Sony doing? Anything in tandem? Looking at older cards, like calamity and newer cards like admonition? Are they looking to somehow revamp the playing experience (3 mana a turn I think would be ACE!) or look at strategies that are being exploited (speed / attrition)?
It's all very good collecting data, etc. to put a cohesive argument together, whilst stepping on eggshells, dancing around the fire, taking the dog for a walk, writing a novel, and learning japanese, but whilst this is happening the pillars are crumbling... and nobody appears to be batting an eyelid or doing anything about it....

i dont think rob has finished for any of the reasons concerning development of the game, he has fallen for another game, wants to play it all the time, that leaves nothing for eoj, so he decided to stop playing. Plus his family are going through severe cash flow problems, and like the good kid he is, he wants to help them through the crisis,, and selling eoj stuff is a pretty good way,, coz we all know how much we have spent on it....lots & lots of dosh.....
